Events

To our listeners and subscribers,

KFCF needs your help with two events being planned for the next few months. First, our annual banquet is scheduled for Sunday, November 6th and our special guest speaker will be Walter Turner of KPFA's "Africa Today." More information will be coming soon, but one of the things we need to help us offset the expense of the banquet so we can keep the price of a ticket affordable is donations of works of art, books, CDs, DVDs, gift baskets or certificates, and any other items that can be used for our silent auction and raffle, as well as local businesses and organizations willing to take out an ad in the banquet program to help sponsor the event.

We're also planning a "Record Hop" for early 2012 where participants can listen and dance to classic vinyl records, meet some of KPFAs music hosts, and bid on records of some of your favorite artists. If you have vinyl records in good condition that you'd be willing to donate for this event, your tax deductible donation would be greatly appreciated.

If you can help with either of these events contact the KFCF office at 233-2221, or by e-mail to skern at netptc dot net.
