KFCF has several volunteer opportunities
available for interested and committed members of our community.
These positions are now open and represent a valuable contribution to maintenance
and improvement of station operations. Anyone interested should contact

CALENDAR/PUBLIC SERVICE COORDINATOR
Collect and organize items for
local events and announcements from various sources. Keep the studio
calendar file updated. Coordinate and send information on important
local events to KPFA programmers and facilitate communication between valley
events and KPFA.
BOARD OPERATORS FOR LOCAL PROGRAMS
Learn how to operate the on-air
studio equipment and gain the skills to engineer a live local program.
Take responsibility for engineering one of the current local programs that
are in need of a board operator.
EVENTS CREW
Work on FFCF and KFCF local public
events such as the Distinguished Speaker Series or Annual Banquet.
A variety of tasks are available such as greeting people, taking money
or tickets at the door, serving refreshments, helping with set-up. Etc.
KFCF AUDIO ARCHIVE LIBRARIAN
KFCF has 25 years worth of audio
archives of locally produced programs residing in storage boxes.
This treasure needs to be organized, shelved and catalogued for posterity.
MUSIC ORGANIZER
Work on the ongoing task of keeping
the compact disc library organized. Work with record companies and
KFCF programmers to get more and better music releases into the station
available the use of programmers.
OFFICE WORK
Work on various office tasks that
are of either limited or ongoing commitment such as, updating the Rolodex,
database upkeep, file maintenance, subscription services and publicity.
